Spend two and a half days in Thimphu visiting the Folk Heritage Museum, Handicrafts Emporium, Buddha Dordenma, traditional painting school, Memorial Chorten, local markets, and other cultural sites around the capital. The remaining days are based in Paro, with time for the Tiger’s Nest Monastery hike, local temples, traditional farmhouses, and walks around Paro town. A full-day excursion to Haa Valley takes you across Chele La Pass, with stops along the way for valley and mountain views. Depending on the travel dates, a weekend market visit can also be included for local produce and handicrafts.

Day 1 & 2 :

Arrival in Paro by Flight, Transfer to Thimphu

Spend two and a half days exploring Thimphu and its main cultural sites. Visit the impressive Buddha Dordenma at Kuensel Phodrang, Folk Heritage Museum, National Memorial Chorten, Handicrafts Emporium, and the traditional Painting School. Walk around the city center, browse local shops, and visit the weekend market when available. Additional time can be used for Tashichho Dzong, Motithang Takin Preserve, traditional craft centers, and other places of interest around the Thimphu Valley. Overnight Stay ion Thimphu.

Day 3 & 4 :

Later Transfer to Paro

Spend three nights in Paro, with a visit to Dochula Pass en route if time permits. Explore Paro town and its local market, visit the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, and experience a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse and local way of life. Dedicate a full day to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery hike, allowing enough time for the walk, monastery visit, and surrounding views. The remaining time can be used for local sightseeing, shopping, and relaxing around Paro Valley. Overnight Stay in Paro.

Day 5 :

Full Day Haa Valley Excursion

Spend the day visiting Haa Valley, one of Bhutan’s less-developed western valleys, known for traditional villages, temples, farmland and local hoentey dumplings. Travel from Paro across Chele La Pass, approximately 3,988 meters (13,084 feet) above sea level, with Himalayan views in clear weather. Continue into Haa for local sightseeing and time around the valley before returning across Chele La to Paro for your overnight stay.

Day 6 :

Departure Flight to Onward Destination.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Paro International Airport. Your guide and driver will assist with the departure arrangements and bid you farewell. Board your flight to your onward destination, concluding your stay in Bhutan. Tashi Delek!
